Marathon training at this point is more mental than physical. Choosing to push forward, ignoring the negative voices in my head, and just focusing on the mile I'm in... not the ones to come. Choose JOY And Be YouThe kids role play 90% of the time... we encourage our kids to play, become who God has called them to be, and most of all have FUN. In this picture you will see Ms.Sidwell, Ms.Jil, and officer Cody! We inspire the younger generation by just being us!

Childhood illness is no joke. After four days in the hospital Madison wants to play "nurse." Hearing her this morning, "let me see your tubie," "no hurts," and "don't move" expresses how she absorbs everything. We've been resting and playing today; preparing for the week ahead. Please continue to pray for our Glennon Family!
Ryan and Madison pulled in a little after 7pm... Thank you for all the prayers! She is in pain now and it seems to be kidney crystals. Please lift her up! She needs rest ❤
We got home late last night so wasn't surprised she slept most of the day. Unfortunately, she started running a fever around 4pm. Since she has a port any temperature of 100.4 we have to take her to STL. Her temperature was 102 so no option.
Ryan took Madison to STL tonight. Please pray. When we are separated even for a day the kids struggle. Madison was suppose to see the dentist at Cardinal Glennon today, but that didn't happen. Yesterday afternoon Madison started running a low grade temp 99.9-100.1 the fever was gone by 7pm, but she refused to walk on her leg. Last week she got her cast off; She hasn't been walking the best, but would put weight on it until yesterday. I called her orthopedic team this morning and they wanted to see her. After an evaluation and x-rays they sent us to the emergency room. After 8 hours of x-rays, blood work, ultrasound, etc. they decided to admit her. Her ESR and CRP (levels for inflammation) were both high; resulting, in a concern she could have a joint infection. The x-rays and ultrasound looked clear, but wanted to see in the morning if a MRI was needed. Madison and I were reminded how much we haven't missed this place. We love the people, but don't miss the stress, anxiety, and emotions. Madison remembers way more than one would think; so let's just say many tears fell today. For example, the beeping of her pump going off today resulted in a complete meltdown. She hit the "silence" button and said, "I go home!" It's times like this I'm thrown back into our life in the hospital. Prayers please for all the families in and out of the hospitals today. The emergency room has been crazy--- one trauma after another. Thank you God for keeping us out of the hospital for so long. It's been awhile since we took a picture like this....
