So blessed to have an amazing North Clay family! I taught at Louisville for 6 years and there support for Madison and our family is so touching. One of my previous cross country runners, Mikayla Stanfield, is putting a 5K race on for Madison Saturday, June 27th. IF you are interested in participating in this event please click on the document below and get registered:) Thank you

We have all the information! So blessed to have two mothers whose children had MDS/Monosomy 7 to talk too. They had filled me in earlier this week so wasn't such a blow. Madison's doctors don't seem to care for the matches she has been given so they are going to an international donor bank... Results will be in by next week. The best cord blood match was 4 out of 6. They will hold both cords for us in the event we can't find a better match through the donor bank. Since finding a match has been harder than expected Madison's bone marrow transplant will not occur until July the end of June at the soonest. Why not just settle for the 4 out of 6 cord blood match? The likiehood of graft vs host is probable and although can be managed not ideal. We will keep looking for the next couple of weeks and then set a transplant date. The transplant process will take a year (based on everything goIng perfect). We will spend 40-50 days in the bone marrow transplant unit then be moved to a Ronald McDonald apartment until day 100 or until our clinic visits are down to once a week.. Then we will return home for strict germ free living. Please pray as we prepare for this journey! Also, there is still time for a miracle! A year ago Madison was growing in my stomach and taking pictures with Megan was the highlight of my pregnancy (just like with Harrison and Mae). Looking back at this picture makes my heart smile. Thank you God for giving us Madison! Thank you for giving us the love, faith, and hope to raise her. Thank you for trusting us! Thank you for letting us be her parents her on earth! When tough events happen in ones life it is easier to get mad and ask why... Ryan and I are choosing to be grateful! God didn't have to give us any children and he gave us three Harrison, Maebry, and Madison. Thank you God for our blessings! And I will call upon Your name |
