When your kids are healthy you take advantage! You don't wait for tomorrow, next weekend, or next year. You do it today! You don't wait for the labs, the tests, or the scans! You do it today! Today, we choose to make memories, laugh until our cheeks hurt, and make the day count! Today we spend quality time together, we conquer fears, and become the next "Lash Ninja!" Today, we let our kids be kids! We let ourselves be kids! Today, we embrace today. Tonight we will thank God for today and pray about the days to come...Thursday: Madison has her one year post transplant bone marrow biopsy, we discuss school for Harrison and Mae with doctor, and we discuss where God is leading us this fall season. Today we make it the best it can be! We will never get today again!

The faith of a child! I love this picture for it shares so much about our lives. As Christians, we have hills in our life, but when God is driving we have nothing to fear! Next time a life event happens spread your arms and enjoy the ride! When Ryan and I felt God wanted us to wait another year to open the farm we were sad, but at peace. With our lives day by day committing to the farm wasn't possible. We did, however; plant a few pumpkins for the kids behind the house. It has been pure joy for me to nurture those plants! To my delight we even have some turning orange already! Ryan and I have been focusing on our health the last two weeks. No eating after 7pm, eating cleaner, avoiding large fountain sodas, and just being who God has called us to be. As it hasn't been easy we are already feeling better! Another plus, we have enjoyed our walks and time outside with the Littles! (Yes, Mae carries a purse the entire one mile walk)
Madison and I went out to the garden tonight! She is a great at finding pumpkins!❤️ Slowly Madison has started walking with support. Her baby stroller has been a great walker for her! ❤️ She is weak, but PT starts again next Friday so no worries! Our Divia Mae says the funniest things ALL day long... Here were a few of today's highlights: World of Mae---"My tongue still hurts from that hot tea. That's why you don't put hot in it!" It's going to rain today because I heard it on the music. She fell in the bathroom- "That's why you don't have bathrooms!" "Dairy Queen, Dairy King, I want a Dairy Cow!" Lots of laughter has filled the house this week... It is clear that Madison was depressed with that spica cast on! She is full of laughs and even started doing typical two-year old things--- (dumping water on the floor, cleaning out the drawers in the kitchen, and screaming when her sister takes her things!) Makes my heart smile! We enjoyed a day with Katie and Fallon! Unfortunately, we got no pictures! Katie and I were prepping meals for the week and the girls were playing! A great day all around and more memories in the book of happiness!
A memory filled weekend for the littles. Harrison and Mae ventured on their first camping trip with Cousin Todd and Tasha! The kids had a blast and we are so thankful for the love they pour on our kids! Our corn was ready to be picked this weekend.... So we picked and started putting it up... 23 bags down and about 30 to go. We have several watermelon in the garden this year... I don't know about your garden, but the weeds are winning in ours! We hit the fair late (7:45pm) last night to see the animals and enjoy some fair food. It was perfect! Not crowed, not hot, and we were able to be together as a family❤️ Madison's broviac removal was a success! Her port is now our main line for iv meds and labs and her g-button will be used way more as we continue to push fluids to deal with the kidney concerns. A happy day for all of us! ❤️❤️Thank you for the prayers!!
