Worry about NothingThis was the devotion today by Rick Warren and felt it not only related to me, but all of you ❤️ This verse carried us the last two years and continues to shine bright❤️ “Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.… Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” (Philippians 4:6, 8b NLT, second edition).
God wants you to trust him one day at a time: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Not for next week. Not for next year. Not for next month. Just one day at a time. Philippians 4:6 and 8 show us that there are four things that you need to do to trust God on a daily basis: “Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.… Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” (NLT). Worry about nothing. Why is worry such a big deal? Because it’s not just a bad habit. It’s a flat out sin! But God keeps his promises, and you can trust that he will take care of you. “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Matthew 6:34). Pray about everything. Prayer can change things. Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (NIV) God solved your biggest problem — getting into Heaven — when he sent Jesus to die for you. If God loved you enough to send Jesus to die for you, don’t you think he loves you enough to take care of all these other problems? Thank God in all things. No matter what happens, give thanks. The Bible doesn’t say, “For all things give thanks.” It says, “In all things give thanks.” You don’t have to be thankful for bad things in your life. You should never be thankful for evil. You don’t have to be thankful for cancer or a car accident or war or abuse. But God says in everything give thanks. Why? Because you know that God’s going to take care of you. You know he’s going to meet your needs. You know he’s going to help you. Think about the right things. God gives us a list of things to think about, things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise. Where do you find things that are pure and lovely to think about? At the movies? I don’t think so. On TV? No. You will only find pure and lovely and honorable thoughts in the Word of God. You need to read it, study it, memorize it, and fill your mind with it. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (NLT, second edition)

Prayers for Fallon and Alec! Both of these children need prayers! Their journey isn't for me to tell, but they both have Facebook pages "Faith for Fallon" and "Alec Ingram's Fight with cancer." Please join me in an evening of prayer lifting Fallon and Alec up❤️
To Be PRESENTThe hustle and bustle of the holiday season can sure ruin the true meaning of Christmas! It seems everyone gets a few things added to their to-do list this time of year; mixed in with already exhausting schedules.
Christmas Day is every emotion possible. The day is spent rushing from one house/dinner to another aching to see every single family member. A day with life flying- literally! Casserole dishes, wrapping paper, laughter, etc. you get my point. Last Christmas, for the very first time; I experienced stillness on Christmas. True presence with Ryan and the kids. We had no time restraints, no where else to go, and it allowed us to be present. One of Madison's therapist is celebrating Christmas with her kids this weekend. They are driving in, staying at her house, and have no where else to go! This makes my heart smile! I would love nothing more than a sleepover at my parent's, in-law's, grandparent's home,...., but everyone celebrating on the same day makes that impossible. Or is it impossible? I've tasted "stillness" and once you've tasted it the hustle and bustle will never measure up! I try harder to clear off a day then to add so much to it that I'm not present. This Christmas I want to be present! Not rushing with no time to visit, not to exhausted that I pray for a nap, I want to be present, still, and celebrate Jesus' birthday not just on the 25th, but all year! For all to be healthy Our health is one of the many things we take for granted. It isn't until a loved one or ourselves gets a terminal illness that we see and recognize how important good health is.
This morning the girls were caring for their dolls that were sick. Dr.Mae was listing all their medical diagnoses like a rolodex. Then they were playing with the dolls. Curious of her response I asked, "Your dolls are sick should they be playing and laughing?" Mae said, "Mom! Really! Playing, laughing, and loving our babies make them feel better." I'm thankful for their exposure for one simple reason EMPATHY! We have and will continue to be in hospitals whether as patients or simply to love and embrace others. How can we help? Contact your local hospital and ask to speak to the social worker. They will know how you can directly help those in your area. Yes, I called St.Anthony hospital and waiting to get a call back with needs. It literally took 10mins. to make the call and get connected to the correct area. One thing I constantly remind myself of is we are the church! Sharing God's love is key❤️ Pray about where God can use you. ❤️ Is to be HOME❤️Being home for the holidays is so important to Ryan and I. I'm pretty sure all of our Glennon family would agree. Madison's best friend Fallon is currently in the hospital please pray for a healing! Madison received Fallon's Christmas card in the mail today... she loves her Fallon! Yes, she slept with Fallon's card at nap and fell asleep with it in her hand tonight.
