God always knows who we need in our lives. When Madison and I were in STL for six months it was hard on Harrison and Maebry, Ryan, my parents, and I tried to keep their lives as "normal" as possible, but their family was split apart. Harrison and Maebry spent much of their time at Little Saints Preschool/Daycare for Ryan was working to provide for our family. There was a very special lady Mrs. Sandy who loved on our kids during this difficult season. She invested her time and giving heart on Harrison and Maebry when I couldn't. Mrs. Sandy took the time to paint Mae's nails, demand hugs from Harrison, and even embrace Mae when all she needed was a hug!
God called me to visit Mrs. Sandy on Friday morning... she truly loved people and saw the best in others when they didn't see it themselves. My heart breaks for her family as they grieve and mourn the loss of an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and follower of Christ. Be present this holiday season.... to often we try to buy elaborate gifts for those in our lives! The greatest and most meaningful gift we can give is to simply BE PRESENT!

God really works in the most mysterious way possible. This is not something that I consider negative because I know that if God is the one who allowed things to happen, then it is for the better. Our presence indeed is what the others need sometimes. Being present means that you respect other's time and feelings too. It also means that we value their efforts that is why we make sure that we give our time and efforts too. You know what, I was able to realize a lot of good things after reading this. I wish I was able to read this sooner.
