As Madison and I were heading to Saint Louis yesterday morning, a storm passed over us. Then, as we were coming home, we followed a storm. When I was pregnant with Madison, Megan Diekemper took a picture of me holding an umbrella..... A storm had just passed and the sun was beginning to shine. I requested this pose. When trying to have our children I struggled! I didn't understand, I was angry, and I was hurt.... One night, I went for a run and the rain began to fall and soon after I fell to my knees, begging God to take the "I need a baby" stress from me. At that moment, (February 2010) my relationship with God changed. God took all my hurt and frustration. Fast forward to Spring of 2014, I wanted a picture that showed how God provides! He provides the umbrella you need in the storms! With no surprise this picture means so much more to me in 2016. God has protected, provided, and guided our family; he has been our Umbrella! Is God your Umbrella? Do you go to him when storms arise?Often people wonder why we've not been mad at God through this storm..... The answer is simple "God gave us Harrison, Maebry, and Madison!"
