It seems like just yesterday that tragedy hit and Payge went to be with Jesus. The past year has been difficult for her family and friends and even at times struggling to move forward. This week on my way to EIU for class my heart felt heavy and tears rolled down my face. Once arriving on campus a butterfly landed on the car. The grief and loss that has been experienced the last year has brought me to my knees numerous times. My prayer is God continues to provide peace and guidance to Payge's parents, siblings, and Cameron. The memorial race today was amazing and its truly amazing to see the love and support that surrounds Payge's family and friends. Last year's post....With a heavy heart I write this post...
Payge and her entire family spent the day at the golf course yesterday helping with Madison's benefit (golf scramble). To say Payge and her family have servants hearts would be an understatement. Mae and I spent a couple of hours visiting until we had to get home to Madison. Payge and Cameron (little brother) began dating at the beginning of summer. Payge was always smiling, had a caring spirit, and we all immediately fell in love with her. Just last week she came over to my parents house and the kids and I were there and she started helping with dishes! I looked at mom and said , "We are keeping her!" In less than 1 second yesterday life changed! Everyone was heading home from a day of love and laughter to share in more at a wedding reception. Those who loved Payge did everything they humanly could to save her life. We all ask, "Why them, why now, why us?" God knows all of those answers! Ryan and I don't know the answers! Our hearts ache, but we trust the God that has all the answers! We trust that God is good, we have hope in the days ahead, and we have faith that Payge is with God in heaven. Please pray for the Donaldson family! God brought our families together and he alone knows what they need during this time.

The different things that are happening in our lives should be according to the will of the Lord. We should not live with fear and we should live with faith. The Lord will be there to help us and God will never leave us behind. The love and the support that we have will always be there and we can not turn back time but we can always make a huge difference today. A difference that will make a good mark in this world. I will be waiting for God's time.
