Here I am... If you would have asked me five years ago; "Where will you be in five years?" I would have replied,"Exactly where I am now! Teaching at North Clay, raising babies, and farming (pumpkin patch)."
Are you where you thought you'd be today? Physically, emotionally, and spiritually? Oh Lindsay! How you had so much lined out, organized, planned, but forgot one really big thing! TODAY! The last 18 months I've been thrown into the reality of today! All we know we have is NOW! God is in control! The last month has been one of the hardest months of my life. Don't get me wrong the last 18 months havent been easy, but this past month has been difficult. The reality that life is short is a constant reminder! As today is my 33rd birthday I'm reminded that my time on earth is about glorifying God. Being still, being fluid, and being what God has called me to be! This week please be in prayer for Gabriel and his family as they travel to C.H.O.P, Donaldson Family and brother Cameron (tomorrow will be one month since God called Payge home), our Glennon family, the farmers, and our Country. Madison has an appointment in STL tomorrow please pray for good results and safe travels! How can I pray for you? If you ever have a prayer request please pm or call/text me❤️ 6182920984

When you see me in public and ask me how the kids are and I close my eyes it's because as soon as I say, "Awesome!, Wonderful!, Enjoying school!, etc." I know sickness is near. Madison was rhinovirus positive at the beginning of the week and Harrison and Mae were in the clear. Last night, Harrison started in with the stomach bug. At first, I thought the new vitamin combo I gave him upset his stomach, but to my dismay it is a bug. So... I put on my crazy face and tennis shoes and started cleaning, pushed Harrison to the basement, and bombed my house with essential oils... Thankfully, my dear friend did a drive by and threw me a cherry coke and "you got this" wave! We are suppose to be in STL tomorrow so please pray I've kept all illness at its source. We have the best farming community! The Berg men let me know they would be in the field today and even made sure the wind was out of the right direction. Blessed! Our house is locked up tight and no playing outside for us the rest of the week. Takes a whole lot of fun to rock this kid's boat! She definitely reminds me of what is small and what is big in this crazy world!❤️
Ryan and I saw this sign at the same time on Sunday! A nice reminder that I see several times a day! My blogging has been quiet the last few weeks. I've been using the time praying, studying, and just plain being still. Being in a hallway is difficult for "doers," but I'm embracing for I know God is preparing my heart for the next door. Harvest is fast approaching so indoors we will stay. The mold in the corn, dust, etc. is extremely dangerous for Madison. Please pray she will remain healthy during this season. Her counts haven't been the best---Hemoglobin and creatine levels are the main concerns. Our wedding adventure lead to the rhinovirus... Her immune system is still weak, but thankfully have avoided a hospital admission. "Come here, sit, make tent!" Madison sure loves her Great Gran (probably because she stops everything to play with her!) I found this today when I came in from the grocery store! They were playing tent❤️ Enjoy the season you are in❤️
The continued swings in temperature and stink bugs present; I felt picking our pumpkins sounded like a good idea!!! For all those that are leaving your pumpkins on the vine (vine is green and healthy) check them often! Bugs, mold, and disease can wipe out all your pumpkins quickly❤️ We had a wonderful time and left about one dozen green pumpkins for an October pick❤️ A day outside= a long bath time for Madison!!! Madison hasn't felt well most of the day, but it hasn't slowed her down! We took the risk having her at Mitch and Skyler's wedding. A runny nose and cough as a result😭 Praying that tomorrow she feels better and no other symptoms appear! Tonight, while I was watching the kids play; I noticed one of their chairs in the yard. I immediately, began to ask myself- if anyone in the world could be in that chair at this moment who would it be? What would I ask them or say?
Who would be in that chair for you? Are they still physically on this earth? If they are maybe they need to come sit in the middle of your yard. I was staring at that chair with mind and heart running for a good 15 minutes... A beautiful weekend to get married! We are blessed to add Skyler to our family! My little brother Mitch was married this weekend and it was perfect. All the rain Friday evening brought in cooler temps and lots of sunshine❤️ Ryan and I also celebrated 10 years of marital bliss❤️ The last ten years haven't been easy, but worth every minute! Marriage takes God being a priority, time, dedication, and simply being present. Last year, Madison and I were in the hospital and yesterday we were all five together...
We aren't promised tomorrow. Our hearts ached this weekend for those that weren't with us. This week take time to reach out to someone who needs you❤️ |
