Madison has a busy week ahead! Labs tomorrow morning, a transplant meeting/training on Tuesday at Cardinal Glennon, and results should be in on her donor Wednesday (matching double checked, hiv test, and hepatitis b). Please in prayer that the donor passed all the blood tests, signs the donor papers, and is willing to set a date this week! There is so much depending on our donor so please be in prayer for her! Please also pray Madison stays healthy and the weeks leading up to transplant are full of great times and memories! We are making the most of every summer day we are home and together as a family!

So overwhelmed with feelings! A 32 year old female donor from the United States responded to the call! She has an appointment tomorrow to get confirmatory typed! She just joined the register in 2013 so that is very promising that she will go through with the donation process. It still blows my mind that a complete stranger can be a better match than me! She is my age and don't know her story just know she has become part of ours! Please be in prayer for her and that all the testing lines up! God is in control! We also received news that there is now another 9 out of 10 female match from Great Britain. They don't plan on contacting her unless the matching reveals other issues! We are at the mercy of the donor.. please pray she follows through with the donation, that she donates in a timely fashion, and most of all she sees God through this experience! Do you pray? Do you believe in the power of prayer? I have looked at these two questions all day as I've tried to write this blog post... Harrison has been praying for at least two years at dinner time and just recently Mae has started saying grace in her style. Several times we have found that Madison too has sat in her high chair with her hands folded and head down... Praying for our family is key, essential, a choice, and our foundation. Teaching our kids to pray and to pursue God is our focus. I love this picture of Madison because prayer looks simple! Prayer is simple isn't it? Why is it then when we feel like we are standing in the middle of a storm we forget how to pray or the distraction consumes us? Thankfully, we have prayer warriors! The week we got Madison's diagnois my family got together and prayed, our church family got together and prayed, and even last night our Ramsey Christian church family came together and prayed! It goes on and on those that are praying. Praying for Madison, praying for our entire family. Does prayer work? Is there a God? Let me tell you YES! God loves you and yes this life will bring storms, but when the clouds are dark and the waves are strong get out of your boat and walk.... Prayer it is simple, life changing, and beyond comprehension. God can heal Madison! God is in control and Ryan and I trust him! We trust him more today than yesterday because we feel him. We feel God moving, changing, and focusing Ryan and I on his plan! We aren't perfect and there are days that the waves knock us down, but we get up and keep walking towards Christ. Prayer can change everything and we are blessed to have family and friends who believe this also. No matter where or what is going on in your life look past the waves and focus on God! One day the dark clouds will fade and the sun will shine. A dear friend of mine sent this to me today.... Worth reading:) It is crazy how time flies! We all were warned when we were younger and it remains true. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for our children. Ryan's cousin and the kids' Tata (poor Tasha) took pics for me today. I wanted pics around the house and a book to take with us to the hospital. Tata always captures their completely different personalities and their "faces!" Thank you for taking these for me today! Words can't express what you mean to us! We love our cousin Tata! Here are a few of my favorites! The last four days Madison hasn't felt like herself. No naps, long nights, early mornings... Transplant date will be set next week and still no better matches. They have saved two cords that were 4 out of 6 and at this point will be the choice. Please pray a better match comes to the bank this week! Lots of emotions this week while we wait for the date and the plan. Some would say reality is hitting. Please say an extra prayer for us tonight as we will be praying for the health of your little ones! Having good health is such a blessing often taken for granted. |
