With a heavy heart I write this post...

Payge and her entire family spent the day at the golf course yesterday helping with Madison's benefit (golf scramble). To say Payge and her family have servants hearts would be an understatement. Mae and I spent a couple of hours visiting until we had to get home to Madison.

Payge and Cameron (little brother) began dating at the beginning of summer. Payge was always smiling, had a caring spirit, and we all immediately fell in love with her. Just last week she came over to my parents house and the kids and I were there and she started helping with dishes! I looked at mom and said , "We are keeping her!"

In less than 1 second yesterday life changed! Everyone was heading home from a day of love and laughter to share in more at a wedding reception.

Those who loved Payge did everything they humanly could to save her life.

We all ask, "Why them, why now, why us?" God knows all of those answers! Ryan and I don't know the answers! Our hearts ache, but we trust the God that has all the answers! We trust that God is good, we have hope in the days ahead, and we have faith that Payge is with God in heaven.

Please pray for the Donaldson family! God brought our families together and he alone knows what they need during this time.

The clouds tonight were amazing! Regardless, of how the week went for all of us, the clouds were a reminder of God's promises! It reminded me of how big and strong God is!
School started this week for Harrison and Mae... The seperation will be good for them, but still difficult! At the end of the day they still make comments about homeschooling, needing to be in the same class, and missing Madison. They love their teachers and school too so where God leads we will follow❤️

A trial hits!

A trial hits and I lose my mind!

Finding God in the midst of the trials!

We all love when our lives are sailing smooth! The days when there are no surprise bills in your mailbox, everyone loves you or at least acts like it, your house is clean, vehicles are running, basement is water free, the kids are healthy and happy, you paid all the bills and still have money for groceries, and you look and feel great! The days when you feel like you are in a utopia!

BAM!!!!! Now you’re in a Zootopia! (PS I love this movie) You all of a sudden are acting and looking like you’ve gone savage! You start acting like you have no idea who God is, where he is at, and frankly you are asking God so many questions and talking way too much that you can’t hear God’s responses!

Being a professional “trial ambassador” (willing to give up this title) the past year I’ve learned a few things from God! The time to pray, study the bible, and get focused on God was yesterday when life was smooth! We can’t deal with life when we haven’t let God in it! We aren’t strong enough to deal with all the trials that come our way! Leaning on God’s strength is key! I love the bible verse “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34” God knows we will stumble when we focus on tomorrow! Trials and trouble will come! Is your heart ready for them?

When trials arise our heart condition shines bright! What is your current heart condition? Another one of my favorite verses is “Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phillipians 4:6”

Today is the day to let go and let God. Today is the day to study God’s word for when those storms arise you are prepared! Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

To be continued… I will be speaking at Altamont Christian Church on Sunday, August 21st.Service time begins at 10am! We all have trials and God wants to shine his love on and around them! Hope to see you Sunday!

God is Good! Big Day!

My day began with a dear friend slapping some words at me, "dear, where is your faith? You need to go get it!" Honestly, clinic days are usually filled with the same routine. Great friends, but no moving forward- Madison is either back five steps or idle. Hearing my friend say that to me caught me off guard, but let's face it I was preparing to hear all the things I didn't want to hear... By doing that it sounded like my faith had vanished... Feeling completely convicted I spent the drive to STL in prayer.... God revealed this to me, "There are times I ask you to do things just to test your faith in me! Do you trust me? Will you follow me even if it isn't something you want to do?"

Today was bone marrow biopsy day for Madison! Big day for her, but also we had questions about Harrison and Mae attending school this year. We planned on it, but we recently had a concern about Madison not beginning re-vaccinations until October and the kids being around other children in a building. I was prepared to (or at least been reading up on tons of curriculum) to home school Harrison and Mae again this school year.

When I arrived to clinic, I showed up with faith that God would open and close a door! I would trust and have faith in him!

Madison's blood work showed that she could begin vaccines... TODAY! While asleep from her bone marrow biopsy she received four shots! This is huge for her little body!!! In addition, this means Harrison and Mae can attend school this upcoming school year!

We have precautions, but they can attend school!!❤️

A wonderful day with happy tears and praises to God!

We got more great news! That is right we are eating in a restaurant! All five of us!! We do have rules 1. Off peak hours 2. Away from all people 3. Clorox all areas! But, we get to eat in restaurants!!!!!!!!!

A LONG 402 days, but God is always faithful! Please continue to pray for Madison's kidneys, positive results from her bone marrow biopsy (will get next week), and no illnesses!❤️
