Day 76: Back in BMT Unit

9/30/2015

Well, after severe vomiting last night (17 times) Madison has been admitted back into the transplant unit. Seems that her GVH of the esophagus has worsened. Madison will have a scope done tomorrow to see if it has spread to her gut.

PRAISE... Harrison and Mae had no blasts or signs of Monosomy 7 so their next bone marrow biopsy will be in one year. Regular labs will be drawn once a month to make sure blood levels stay in normal range. They still have bone marrow suppression and at this time they will be closely monitored.

Please be in prayer that our stay is short for having all the kids together means so much to me.

Madison was very sick last night (up once an hour vomiting) so today was more exhausting than expected. We arrived at clinic at 8am and back to the apartment at 3:40..... Madison was not admitted, but any slight change we will be heading to the hospital. Harrison and Mae's bone marrow results will be in later this week. Please pray for good results, a good night's rest for all, and no hospital/clinic visit tomorrow! 75 days down and 25 to go and this hurdle will be behind us!

Special thank you to our family and friends that got the kids gifts:)

Day 74: Kids and I survived!

Ryan went to work today leaving me and the three amigos in St.Louis. I called the doctor this morning telling them we needed to put Madison back on the nausea med twice a day since she has been getting sick every night. To my dismay she wanted to see Madison to check for dehydration and her sodium levels...so I loaded up all three of my happy children and began praying they wouldn't touch anything (germs). Once we arrived everyone said, "wow, Madison looks good!" I replied,"I know..just need a med changed." Luckily, since we will be returning tomorrow (Harrison and Mae bone marrow biopsies and Madison IVIG treatment) they got us in and out in two hours!

Uncle Kyle started his new job today in Saint Louis. Blessings to him as he begins a new season.

Today was busy, but we all survived! Welcome to our new season😀

Day 73: Teaching our kids to serve....

Ryan and I were blessed with parents who showed us how to love others by serving! When we wrote down all the projects we remembered seeing our parents volunteer/serve with our list was estonishing... Truthfully, I don't think we even had half of them....

Teaching kids to be active servants is so important. By serving and loving others you get a glimpse of God's love. We find it crucial to teach our kids not to except or expect payment for every thing they do... money has no fulfillment in the end.

Ryan and I love serving and thankful we were raised with this kind of heart. We also are blessed to have so many around us with this heart also!

This is what God says about serving! Have a great week and find one way to serve another person this week.... Get your kids involved! We made dinner for a loved one...

1 Peter 4:10-10

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 5:13-14

13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
