Day 349: Tank is empty

On Monday when I fell I got two reactions- Harrison-"Mom let me get help" and Mae-"You shouldn't be carrying everything" and "Why aren't you crying? Cry!
I'm all for crying, but most of the time if not all the time I cry when others are hurt. Today, I was suppose to be sitting on the couch, but not in my nature. Unfortunately, while I was putting clothes away Madison fell down the stairs. I heard her whimper (very few times have I heard it, but a sign she is hurt) I ran to her and immediately started looking her over. No scraps, no blood, but she wouldn't put weight on her left leg. I immediately loaded her up and took her to Altamont. An X-ray showed she had broken her femur. We made a mad dash home, grabbed clothes, and headed to Cardinal Glennon.

They retook the x-rays and thankfully nothing else is broke or hurt. Little Muffy now has a cast. She is being admitted for observation...

The tank is empty and I've been in tears with God tonight... Please pray Madison is able to rest and get comfortable.

Only the talented can fall down one step and severely sprain one ankle and jam two toes and fracture the other... Pure talent.

All I can say is thank you Lord for no broken ankle!!'❤️ I'll be resting for the next couple of days and then praying back to normal!!

A little girly date Friday evening does the heart good!❤️ Mae was in her element however; don't put a flower on her nail without telling her... It will be removed😂

Matching Nails!!❤️❤️❤️

The Lash crew was early to rise so we could see Ms.Cali Renko play tball! The game was over before the heat of the day came❤️ The past year we have missed seeing, celebrating, and just being with friends! Weekends like this one are few and far between, but we embrace every moment!!!

Big day for Harrison! He can now jump off of the diving board and swim to the side with no floaties!!

Many things have changed in our life, but several things have remained the same! We are blessed to have friends that will last a lifetime. Although, life for each us changes our friendship is the same!

Day 342: No words

A rough day... The reality of the day usually doesn't hit me until the noise is silent.

The renal doctor came in today to see Madison. She has kidney damage so over the next week the team will be answering these big questions-
~ Is the damage reversible
~ What part and how bad is the damage
~Plan of action

No, this wasn't the best news, but manageable.

The halls of a children's hospital--- I pray you will never hear those screams, see those tears, feel the silence, or experience seeing week after week children of all ages fight for their lives. If you have- I pray you fully rely on God to carry you through the seconds, minutes, hours, and all that comes your way. I pray you trust his plan, rely on his understanding, and glorify him at the end of each day. I pray you find peace and comfort in the midst of the trials.

Tonight I head to bed with tears of sorrow for the parents whose world has been turned upside down, tears of hope for the day we are in heaven- healed, and tears of joy that Harrison, Mae, and Madison are with us tonight in their own beds.

We will never get today again.

Love you all❤️❤️

Please continue to pray for our Glennon Family!!! There is much joy in the halls also, but today was difficult.

Day 341: Summer heat

I headed out early this morning... I enjoyed the early morning clouds and breeze! The corn is growing all around our home, horse flies are being horse flies, neighbors outside enjoying retirement, and the simple quiet of the country. Thank you God! Today was replant day! The forecast stated extreme heat and I knew if I didn't get an early start I wouldn't get it done. To my heart's contentment most of the pumpkin plants were up❤️❤️ Although, we aren't opening the farm this fall it brought me pure joy to see these little plants! God opens and closes doors, but he also knows the longing in our hearts!

Needless to say we embraced every once of the morning hours... Replanting, mowing, therapy, house cleaning, laundry, free swim, no nap, etc. Days like today you have two choices-hang out in the air conditioning or in the water❤️❤️

No nap = kids falling asleep at 7pm during movie night❤️
