Today we got out for a little while to enjoy the awesome weather... Madison had to stay in her stroller and Harrison and Mae were so concerned about her... They wanted to make sure she could see the turtles, wasn't too hot, and was having fun.... It's moments like today that I feel Ryan and I have done a good job teaching our kids to be selfless and caring. We were able to play for awhile and have a picnic then the wind picked up resulting in us having to cut it short.... Harrison and Mae were beyond understanding and a huge help getting loaded up to head to the apartment! Kids had a huge scare when the fire alarm went off! Harrison and Mae were sleeping and were so scared they were shaking.... Silly guy downstairs burnt his sausage and a few weeks ago did the same thing except it was a hamburger.... He apologized and I joked he needed to start ordering carry-out... He agreed. Fire trucks came and all..... Madison is now virus free!!! No rhino virus for her!!!! Praise God she has tested positive for months!! There have been some other tests that haven't been so good... More detailed testing will be done on Monday. We have faith that all tests will go well on Monday! Have a wonderful weekend and get outside!!! It is FALL!!!

Well, Madison loves her iced coffee from Starbucks! I only go there on clinic days! This morning, I ordered her regular "Iced chocolate mocha with toffee nut and an oatmeal with two brown sugars.... Well, the lady gave it to me hot, which meant Madison couldn't drink it out of the straw and she would have to wait till I could help her... So the entire way to Cardinal Glennon this is what she was doing in the backseat.... As she was having a "Starbucks Meltdown" that so many adults have.... I was laughing! Once we got into clinic she enjoyed her coffee and oatmeal! Thank you to all who have invested in Starbucks gift cards for us.... Madison is enjoying them! Words can't express how awesome the "joovy stroller" is and how it makes our life so much easier! Madison is able to travel in and out of clinic in this stroller and see everything!!! This stroller has been such a blessing! Thank you to all who have given money to her benefit account it pays for things like this!!! The stroller has a plastic cover that serves as a barrier to germs and contact with others!!! The blood labs that came back today were mostly normal. She still has a virus in her gut that she has had for a couple of months. Once her immune system is stronger it should kill it. Still waiting on a couple of important labs that should be back tomorrow. Thank you for all the prayers and support we are forever grateful! The babies arrived tonight!!! Madison was exhausted from our day and was already in bed when they arrived! She is going to be excited in the morning! Madison can officially say "Bubba" and "MaeMae!" She has been asking about them all week!!!
Prayers your weekend is "fall and fun filled"!!! Please post pictures of your family doing a "fall" activity this weekend and tag us! We sure miss having the farm open and seeing all of you!!!!! Thank you for understanding and loving our family through this season!!! Madison and I sat on the couch for at least an hour in the sun this afternoon.... I can't believe summer is over and fall is here.... I noticed today that the rest of the trees are beginning to change for the longest time it was just the maple that turned.
Ms. Cynthia Sidwell came for a visit today... I always enjoy our visits and time together.... Although, it goes way too fast! Please pray for Madison's clinic visit tomorrow.... Praying for good labs! Our clinic day moved from yesterday to today so the kiddos could stay in St.Louis a little longer... We had the fastest clinic visit ever! Arrived at 8:30 and was back into the apartment by 11am!!!! Madison fell asleep in her stroller on the way to the car... It doesn't seem her coffee was enough to keep her awake! Please pray that her labs look a little more "normal" on Thursday... If not, Thursday could be exceptionally long... rumor has it we are going to have a room in clinic next to our dear friends!! That means the girls can watch and play through a glass window!! I was living on God's time today... Wish I was more laid back to do that more often... Plans fell through to see my new nephew today when Mindy called to tell me he was sick:( After spending the entire day at the doctor's office he is home. Seems to be the cold virus, but still scary with a newborn. (Since Madison has poor immunity I have to avoid those sick also... too risky). Praying he feels better soon... I have lots to teach him!
My planned trip home to see Baby Roe quickly turned into a trip home to get a few ducks in a row... I was able to see all my favorite "bank people" while I took care of some finances, my favorite "mechanics" since my check engine light was on, visited with some of my church family, cleaned out a closet at home with my favorite "guy," ate a steak in record time, shared some tears and laughs with a friend, and then.......... headed back to St.Louis to give Madison her evening meds..... The view was absolutely beautiful! I'm still laughing that all that got done in 7 hours including drive time!!!! Kids left this afternoon:( I spent the rest of the evening picking up the apartment... Finding little blankets behind furniture, snacks under the bed covers, and toys in odd places... Thankful this season is short and we will all five be together soon! It's so crazy to me that the kids have their own smells.... This one was with Mae because it smelled like gum, sugar, and shampoo. So blessed we get the weekends together and the kids have one another!!! I pray you all had a wonderful time with your family this long holiday weekend! Now off to a short work week:) Mae is laughing just as hard next to me.... Madison "should" have a calm week at clinic! Praying for a short visit tomorrow and a less than 7 hour one on Thursday!! Go Team Madison! |
