The past year has gone so fast! My heart is full; being home as a family of five- I thank God every single day for blessing us! His love and grace I never take for granted. This week Madison wasn't herself. Ear infections, cough, 99-100 temperature, and runny nose- I repacked our hospital bag and assumed we would be headed to STL. Home, long naps, breathing treatments, and antibiotics has seemed to do the trick. The flu season is here... As cautious as we are Madison still seems to get every bug. We will continue to limit her outings and remain home. We did go to Harrison's first basketball game this morning. We all loved watching him play! Ryan is helping coach and Harrison sure loves their time together. Where are we Now? A year later!Madison still receives PT, OT, DT, Speech, and Dietician services our goal is to have her up to speed by her third birthday in June.
We are still traveling to STL every two/three weeks for labs and appointments with her specialists. We are still using her gbutton for meds and port for labs. Her med list is smaller- we still administer 10 meds/vitamins daily. Potty training has been difficult, but we are optimistic. She has to be potty trained by 33 months or she will begin a med to help with kidney damage. Praying with a little more TLC meds won't be needed. At the end of every day we are thankful Madison is home and continuing to grow and heal. Praying the rest of flu season we are able to keep Madison home and healthy❤️
