A trial hits and I lose my mind!
Finding God in the midst of the trials! We all love when our lives are sailing smooth! The days when there are no surprise bills in your mailbox, everyone loves you or at least acts like it, your house is clean, vehicles are running, basement is water free, the kids are healthy and happy, you paid all the bills and still have money for groceries, and you look and feel great! The days when you feel like you are in a utopia! BAM!!!!! Now you’re in a Zootopia! (PS I love this movie) You all of a sudden are acting and looking like you’ve gone savage! You start acting like you have no idea who God is, where he is at, and frankly you are asking God so many questions and talking way too much that you can’t hear God’s responses! Being a professional “trial ambassador” (willing to give up this title) the past year I’ve learned a few things from God! The time to pray, study the bible, and get focused on God was yesterday when life was smooth! We can’t deal with life when we haven’t let God in it! We aren’t strong enough to deal with all the trials that come our way! Leaning on God’s strength is key! I love the bible verse “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34” God knows we will stumble when we focus on tomorrow! Trials and trouble will come! Is your heart ready for them? When trials arise our heart condition shines bright! What is your current heart condition? Another one of my favorite verses is “Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phillipians 4:6” Today is the day to let go and let God. Today is the day to study God’s word for when those storms arise you are prepared! Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith. To be continued… I will be speaking at Altamont Christian Church on Sunday, August 21st.Service time begins at 10am! We all have trials and God wants to shine his love on and around them! Hope to see you Sunday!
