God used the "Swing fore Hope" organization to bless our lives. Yet again; God has brought me to my knees when reflecting on this morning. Madison and I had the opportunity to meet Brett and Julie Gilliland (founders of Swing Fore Hope) and share how God used them to enrich our lives. A special thank you to Scott and Mia Vieregge for sharing our story and blog with the Gillibert's. A true testimony of being God's hands and feet. http://visionarywealthadvisors.com/staff/scott-vieregge/ "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Mead I came across this picture today when I was preparing for the "Swing Fore Hope" video. It seems like yesterday when our lives changed forever. Thankful every single day for God's love and grace.

Ryan and I went to dinner tonight to celebrate his 35th birthday. All was amazing until several tables were more concerned about having a "quiet evening" than loving their neighbor.
At what point in life do we move from micro-managing and raising littles to being embarrassed by other Little's loudness, crazy, and mannerisms? To to the mom of the "3 Littles": One day you will be on the other side of the room- May you pull up a chair alongside the family, pay their bill, or simply give the "you got this" smile. Your the best mom for your Little's and don't EVER be embarrassed to take them in public. I could tell you a long list of moments I wanted to crawl under the table ❤ Remember we are God's hands and feet! Some may never see the love of God because we are judging instead of loving. I have yet to meet someone that has said, "I love setbacks! They fill me with pure joy and contentment!" Setbacks are annoying, frustrating, and an example we have little to no control. I don't like setbacks; however, I tend to expect them. Life isn't near as fun; if it goes the way I think it should or would like. I don't pessimistically wait for setbacks, but I do plan for them! I mentally prepare for setbacks; therefore, when they come I'm able to handle and embrace them. Do you plan for setbacks? I've been pre-training for a marathon since January. Two weeks ago I had to run 60 minutes straight. 52 minutes into the run I got a sharp pain in my hip . The pain then traveled up my back (setback). I rested, but kept up with the training schedule.
Two weeks later the pain has only increased resulting in me visiting a chiropractor two times this week! The facts:,Running injuries are common, God loves to send me to medical institutions, and I'm not 20 anymore! I was waiting for a setback. I knew it would come! For me, running is 80% mental and 20% physical. I knew a setback would come to prepare me for running 26.2 miles! If I have "my head in the run" I will finish. This setback is minor, but what I'm finding- Any sign of a setback people start teetering , guestioning, and in "Mae language- lose their minds." God is bigger than any setback you've experienced or are experiencing! Stand up, brush your pants off, and repeat "God's got this setback!" |
