I've been beyond blessed to be surrounded by God-fearing, strong, loving, and wonderful mothers. After the past year, I have gained a greater appreciation for the mothers in my life.
I've had the opportunity to see women fight alongside their children who suffer from childhood diseases and cancers. Thanks to these women I have seen resiliency and love beyond measure. I've been blessed with a strong, young, and selfless friend that I get to all my mother! My mom has ALWAYS put her kids first by her words and actions. This last year my mom not only had Harrison and Mae full time for several months, but she made several trips to and from St.Louis to see Madison and I, made meals for Ryan, and simply was just there for us in all capacities. After this year, I'm reminded how blessed we are to have Ninja Nene! Tomorrow God has given me the opportunity to share the message at St.Elmo Christian Church. There are two service times 8:30 and 10:30. If you don't have a church family, I know St. Elmo Christian would love for you to attend! Praying you accept this invitation. Happy Mother's Day! I know this day is difficult for several women for several different reasons. My prayer is you find God's love and peace!

The kids and I went up to the 4th floor this morning to see our dear friend! Please continue to pray for Gabriel! He has been through so much and the road ahead is still long! Labs and doctor visit= out by 11:30!!! The kids and I were originally going to head to the zoo, but with school field trips in full swing we decided to wait on that trip. Grant's farm was busy too, but lucky when we arrived around 1pm several schools were leaving! It is so funny what can happen in a year! The things they used to be afraid of they find exciting! When the kids fall asleep on the way home I consider that a successful day!
So thankful for my dear friends Mik and Rachel! They are planning the 2nd Annual Dash for Lash 5k walk/run! The race will be at Rogier Park in Vandalia,IL on July 16th, 2016! This date is very special because it is Madison's 1 year post transplant birthday!!! Please plan to join us in celebration! The race form can be found below, on the "events to support Madison page", and on the Dash for Lash facebook page! Harrison has eagerly been waiting for tball! He wanted to play last summer, but with Madison being so sick there was just no way to swing it!
Harrison is so excited about the season (and so are the rest of us)! Thank you God for sharing your creations with us the last two days! Ryan and I traveled to Starved Rock! Absolutely breathtaking, humbling, and what we needed physically, emotionally, and spiritually! The trails were amazing and symbolic of the past year!
The walk was filled with curves, hills, stairs, tree roots, and bridges that made the journey even more beautiful! Like life we had the choice several times which trail to take! Most trails had the same destination. Thank you God for living in and around us! |
