There are few people who know you. Truly understand your past, present, and future. Seen you through all stages of your life and continue to inspire, embrace, and encourage you! Today Great Gran traveled with Madison and I to STL. Today was a difficult day (Madison had an IVP of kidneys). Great Gran was right with us. On our way back to the Costas Center I captured this picture! Great Gran and Madison were belly laughing trying to jump❤️ What I appreciate most about my grandparents is they are present❤️ The van needed an oil change when we got back from STL so Madison and I had some chalk fun.. (We wrote "we ❤️ great gran and Pop). Harrison had his fourth tball game this evening! Ryan and I just smile when we see him play! Harrison's love language is "words of affirmation" so we pour it on him before, during, and after games! ❤️ He truly loves playing and therefore; we love watching!❤️ Mae is so funny! Being her love language is "physical touch" she gets lots of snuggle time during games... Well, that is if she isn't being a social butterfly ❤️ Madison had some Nene and Papa time this evening at home. Harrison did inform me I didn't yell loud enough for him like Nene and she needed to be there Thursday 😂 We ended our evening in the basement... Thank you God for watering our grass!

We love our pumpkin farm and this fall when we don't open for the 2nd year we all will cry. Praying that the kids will be healthy and we open in 2017. Today, we showed Madison how we plant pumpkins! We all loved being together doing something we love! Our church service was outside this morning--Sharing with the kids how blessed we are... God gave us this land to take care of, we are together, it is quiet (we heard nature), and the sun is shining. After returning inside it didn't take long to see, hear, and read all the hatred that is going on around us... A long week with little sleep, food, and showers. Madison had major separation issues when I tried to leave her for any reason so I didn't. We have several meds back on board (not ideal, but we are home). We are praying for a calm weekend! We will return to clinic on Monday. I stopped in Vandalia on my way home! We had no groceries, toliet paper, or laundry soap... Thankful for my little brother again for sitting in the car with Madison while she slept and I picked up what I needed! Nothing says, "I love you" then a friend showing up to the house to help unload the car, get laundry going, meds put away, etc. I'm pretty sure I would be lost without my Debbie Hall. Coming home from the hospital is insane! Not only does everything have to be washed or cloroxed, but getting old meds out of the frig and new ones in takes time. After 330+ days I'm still learning, growing, etc. I've decided that the crazy of a person comes out when running on no sleep. As this stay was draining on all levels it had its rewards. Ryan and I had lots of snuggle time with Madison, we met several new families (also, heartbreaking), we grew a little stronger, and our faith was shared. Ryan and I strive to be positive, but let's be honest seeing children who are sick is heartbreaking. Seeing parents emotionally, physically, and spiritual drained while caring for their child brings us to tears. As you enjoy all your summer fun please be in constant prayer for those that are sick. When in battle (we've had several this year) you notice your human weaknesses. Battle after battle they begin to fade as God trains you. After this battle week's battle I'm aware of the places I need God's grace. God is never done molding us. Practical Ways to show you are present: |
