Well, we were back in clinic today. Madison started vomiting again. Dr. Bhatla wanted to admit her, but thankfully I was able to convince her otherwise. Praying one of the three new meds added to her already insane med regimen works. If not, we will be back in clinic tomorrow and she will be admitted. She has mild gvh disease of the gut and esophagus and the best way to take care of this is by a steroid. The problem is she also has HHV-6 of the gut and esophagus that was reactivated after chemo. By giving Madison a steroid the HHV-6 will get worse. Needless to say we are having a meeting with the doctors on Monday to discuss the plan of action. Madison also has a bone marrow biopsy Monday to make sure she is still 100% engrafted and MDS/Monosomy 7 is still gone.
As you can tell, our life is a complete roller coaster. Luckily, I gave up driving months ago and God is in complete control. Madison and I are just along for the ride. On a more positive note:) Harrison and Mae are feeling better and if all goes as planned they will be in St.Louis on Saturday! The kids won't be trick or treating this year, but we plan on having a Family Halloween Dance Party:) Harrison and Mae received their preschool pictures today! Of course, I think they are perfect! Have a blessed rest of your week! Enjoy the last week of OCTOBER!!!
