What a wonderful day!!! Ms. Danielle came up today to stay with Madison for a few hours so I could make a trip to Barnes Hospital and get groceries. We are so blessed to have her in our life!
If you have/had a loved one at Barnes just the size is consuming. This was only my third time into Barnes Hospital, but I still got emotional. The long hallway to get to the elevators to the Siteman Cancer Center is so overwhelming. The number of adults that are fighting cancer along with our daily experiences at Cardinal Glennon has left me completely humbled tonight. I spent over three hours visiting with Haley today! Thursday she will receive a bone marrow transplant. Our time today was discussing how the rules and regulations for an adult are so different than for a child. The things Madison can't have or do isn't a rule for her. We both found it odd that she will have a new immune system and even have to get re-vaccinated like Madison yet the precautions are so different. I planned to see Ms. Cecelia also, but a doctor was in her room when I went by... Please be in prayer for her as she continues with chemo treatments. It was so nice to get out today and have adult conversation:) When I returned back to the apartment I copied Madison's transplant guide and we took it to Haley! Of course, Madison thought Haley was amazing and kept smiling at her! Haley and Madison both are fighters and I can't wait to see what God does with them this year! We still haven't heard any bone marrow results. They should be back by tomorrow. Please continue to pray for all the families that are affected with illnesses.

Good luck - I remember those days prior to my late husbands stem cell transplant and the month of confinement afterward. Know that you are in my prayers.

Cecelia got her last treatment yesterday! After this it will be maintenance treatments in pill form. Thank you for praying for her!
