Harrison and Mae are here for the weekend! Madison didn't feel well today and had several vomiting episodes. One would think that having a three and four year old around it would be intense and difficult, but they were so much help. The empathy and love they have for Madison moved me to tears. They were getting me warm wash clothes, the trash can, and just holding/hugging her while I cleaned the messes up.
Tonight after I put Madison in bed the kids and I talked about how much I love and appreciate them. Harrison said, "Mommy, I love you too and sorry Muffy is sick." This season has affected all five of us. Yes, we all have our bad days, but overall we have grown as a family unit. I'm so thankful our children know and understand empathy. So blessed at a young age they have learned to put others first.
