Day 147: Today.

Enjoying a movie night with Mae-bug! Praying your evening is as enjoyable. After a crazy mom afternoon I needed this.... Honestly, I'm thinking about writing it on the wall in my closet! 

My first niece will be born in 2016!!! So excited for Kyle and Michele! Beyond thrilled and excited!! The idea of more cousins for my kids makes my heart so happy! ​

Prayers for Kayley

Update from my cousins today~

Not a great day today for Kayley, but she's alive. The doctors tried to extubate her, meaning that they took the ventilator tube out. She didn't do well though; she started to struggle pretty much as soon as she came off, so they decided to put her back on. After about an hour, as they were re-intubating her, her heart stopped beating. It took them about 10 minutes of CPR to resuscitate her, but there doesn't appear to be any lasting damage.
They don't think she'll be able to survive on her own until the final surgery, so it doesn't look like she'll get to come home in-between. The surgeons are discussing pulling the surgery in, but they'd rather not. If she becomes hypoxic and acidotic (too little oxygen and too much carbon dioxide in her blood) again they won't have much of a choice.
So... Basically we're back into unknown territory. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get to discuss with the surgeons what their plan is. For today, we're just thankful to God that she's still with us.
