Madison has been gone for a total of 185 Days! The trip home Madison just looked out of the window.... Of course, I was in tears most of our trip home! The local fire departments greeted us and we followed them all the way home.... Of course, we had to go up the hill and see Dad, Great Gran and Pop waving.... (tears). Thank you to Vandalia, Brownstown, and St.Elmo Fire Departments, all the friends and family who waved us on our final stretch of home, and to all who wore shirts to support Madison! Madison's favorite part of coming home was Sadie!!! Of course, no one is surprised since she loves her puppies! As you can tell by the video Madison loved being home! We waited to go inside the house when Ryan came in. What's Next for Madison?Madison will be in clinic on Monday and Thursday's in St.Louis for at least the next month or two then will move to once a week visits in St. Louis. Madison will be evaluated by physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, developmental therapist, and nutritionist/dietitian. She will most likely be seeing all of these people on a regular basis until she is caught up. I know there isn't one free day next week. We are either in clinic or have a therapist coming. Precautions will be the same as they were when we lived in St.Louis. We will not be having visitors to the house. We are in the height of the flu season and Madison still doesn't have the best immune system. In addition, our safety net of being down the road from the hospital is no longer present. Madison's health is finally getting better and we don't want to return to St.Louis. Ways to help?We are readjusting again.... Please be in prayer as Madison adjust to another environment and routine. In addition, Harrison and Mae are also adjusting and will begin homeschooling next week. Ryan still has several outside jobs to finish. I know he is planning on working on those things next week (evenings) and weekend. Please continue to pray that God provides for our spiritual, emotional, and financial needs. We are now in a new season! Video Blog

Lindsay I'm so moved by your love for God and you knowing his importance. I'm in tears watching this. I have been glued to watching Madison, Ryan and yourself make it home safely. You are in great hands with having Mike Sasse around we love him and have for many years. That why my Kaly is blessed to have him and Tammy as godparents. Hugs and god works everyday all day

Lindsay- so excited for you all being home together. Such a blessing. I love your thought provoking blog. I too was like you- always on the go and so busy I was so overwhelmed with life. As you know I had rotator cuff surgery a couple of weeks ago. What an eye opener as I am recovering. God is using this time for me to reevaluate my priorities. I realized I didn't take time for the Lord like I needed. So awesome to read & commune with the Lord. Its really the most important thing we do for the day. You all have a great weekend doing "nothing". You all are blessing others.

Woooohooooo!!! We've been following your journey from Texas and sending up prayers and praise for all God has, is, and will be doing in and through The Lash Family. Thank you for being transparent and obedient. The most interesting quote came over the radio this week: "Optimists see opportunity in calamity; Pessimists see calamity in opportunity!" You epitomize the optimism brought on by faith in Christ and obedience to His Word! Keep on keeping on...we love you to the moon and back
