My cousin posted this on FB this afternoon about Kayley..... " I didn't post yesterday because I wanted to communicate directly with our families and our church first. Kayley's siezures intensified and her brain is gone. We will be transitioning her to hospice care at home as soon as it can be arranged. Please know that everyone did their very best to save her life from the moment she was born. She shouldn't have lived past the first few minutes but she did. She shouldn't have survived surgery, but she did. We got to see in her the spirit of tenacity and toughness that many of us endeavor all our lives to achieve. We got to see the very best in people, which is too often lacking in this world, and we got to experience a peace and a closeness with God that few people ever feel. This will be my last message until she passes. I do very much want to thank everyone who has prayed and continues to pray for our family as we have struggled through this, and for all the generous donations made to support her care. I'm sorry that many of those donations will instead be used to lay her to rest." -Reece and Melissa As Ryan and I laid our three kids in their beds for naps tears rolled down my face. As I laid in bed for nap time prayers were sent. The emotions Reece and Melissa are feeling breaks my heart. God has a plan! We may not understand it, but we trust it. What I do know is Melissa and Reece will see Kayley again. Please continue to pray for peace, strength, and guidance in the days ahead. May God continue to be in complete control.
