Our first drive to St. Louis for clinic... 5am came way too early for the Lash family and seems our "bacation" is over. Madison is improving and even now weighs 12kilograms!!!! She hasn't been 12kilograms in months!
At the end of clinic Madison and I went to see Katie... An emotional conversation and big hug! Fallon is doing better, but the reality of our lives (being in constant contact with parents with sick children) breaks our hearts. Due to lack of energy Madison and I stopped at sonic for a soda and the car hop (a nice woman) welcomed us home and said, "You should be glad you are home some never bring their babies home." Given the nature of my life the last 6 months I understand that more than she'll ever know. Ryan and I are very thankful Madison is home and see on a weekly basis parents who don't bring their children home. We are home! Our hearts still break several times a day for those we call "friends" who aren't home. We have a Cardinal Glennon Family because God gave them to us. In the midst of our similar trials we have clung on to one another.

Friendships with people who truly understand such as your Cardinal Glennon family, help more than you know. My autism journey has brought fellow autism parents into my life that I am forever grateful for.
