Doctor came in today and I asked, "Is Madison out of the woods?" Her response was "No, still in the thick of it with a little glimmer in the distance." This race is long and as soon as you feel like you are ready to cross the finish line you realize you have only ran 1/4 of the race. Today I was switching laundry and little Ms.Jaida was out playing volleyball with her mom in the hallway. Little miss is turning 5 tomorrow and she is having a BIG birthday party @ the hospital. Carla and I were talking when Jaida asked her to take a picture of the back of her head... Carla took the picture and then Jaida looked at the picture while running her little fingers through a few strains of hair.. That chemo left behind... It was hard to hold back the tears. I came back to Madison's room where she was still sleeping and was speechless. Resiliency...running the race even if miles are ahead of you and behind you. Resiliency knowing who is running beside you and encouraging them on the journey. Jaida's second treatment will last another three weeks! If you have a moment drop a birthday card in the mail! Every kid loves snail mail:) Cardinal Glennon Hosiptal Attention: Jaida 4th floor 1465 South Grand St.Louis, MO 63104

Still praying. Hold on, take a seat with Christ, buckle the seat belt of prayer, & keep all faith, hope & love within the ride of life. Don't be afraid to scream, cry, laugh, & get angry along the way. God's right there next to you!
