Several times on this journey people have commented on my strength. I have professed and will to continue to profess that what you have seen, read, and felt isn't my strength, but the strength of God! God asked me to do this blog and the full reason I may never know... What I do know is he has used me and this situation to show his strength! 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 states: "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may reside in me. So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. We all have had and will have things in our life that happen that are difficult! God gives us a choice! Either we can run to him (let his strength take over) or we can run from him (try to handle it on our own). I made the choice to run to God! The strength you see is him! The love you see is him! The "stillness" you see is him! Tomorrow is another big day for Madison! I have been fearful and weak with all the "what-ifs" tonight I have laid this at God's feet. We have to make the choice EVERY DAY and sometime a million times a day to run to God and give him our fears, worries, burdens, etc. We watched another great sermon this morning on this very topic! During our weaknesses God is able and willing to do work within us if we let him. God gives us a choice! What will your choice be? Run to God or run away from him? Ephesians 3:20: Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us- to Him be glory What will your choice be? Have a blessed week and make the choice to focus on God! Love, The Lash Family As I was in my bible this evening, I couldn't help, but remember my grandfather. Grandpa Roy passed away 2 years ago... I would have said, "He lost the battle with cancer." Today I say, "He won the battle with cancer and is in heaven laughing and waiting on our arrival." We may never understand God's plan, but true victory is trusting and having faith in the plan anyways!
