The Lord will fight for you; you need only to BE STILL.
There have been times in my life all I see are fires. I put one fire out and two miles away another one starts. My time, energy, and being revolves around extinguishing the fires. On our way to Colorado, due to us traveling at night; all we could see were the fires. The darkness magnified them.
On our way home-we traveled the same route in the daylight. The fires didn't seem as intense and we were able to see the new growth that was starting to take place in the spots that were once on fire.
God visually showed me today that "fires" in our lives can bring growth. God's light of love and grace can put the fires in perspective. He may not put the fires out! God is God! We need to be still and let God fight for us.
Ryan captured this picture of me... The Rocky Mountains were beautiful and at one point I sat down on a rock to reflect. Psalm 18:2 "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."
I've spoken about mountains often the last two years and seeing them in person was emotional. Two years ago, today; we began a climb that changed our lives. To stand within a mountain range as a family of five brought me to my knees.
I know it is hard to stay focused on God, but whatever the mountain or fire let God fight for you. God's work starts within each and every one of us. (Romans 12:1-2)
