Often after a tragic event or trial we feel just like this cornstalk in the bean field. All we knew has been shaken, our lives look and feel different, we have a long list of questions, we have no clue where to go from this point on, and so badly long to be back in the cornfield where we felt safe, normal, comfortable, etc. We are reminded of how little control we have over our time on earth, the importance of loving God and others, and giving grace the way Jesus Christ does. The last week has been tough. Yesterday, the girls' and I were headed home from Effingham and "Thy Will" by Hillary Scott came on and at the end of the song I heard Madison singing, "I know you see me and I know you hear me." Thank you God for the constant reminders that you are present and you are in control. Thank you Payge. Thank you for sharing and introducing your family to us! Thank you for being God's hands and feet, loving my brother, supporting Madison, and embracing our family❤️ Please continue to pray, encourage, and be present! The days, months, and years ahead will be difficult for all.
