Harrison is a bike riding nut. If I didn't know better I would think he was training for a race! Yesterday he fell off of his bike and skinned his knee and arm. He replied, "I'm done! I'm not getting hurt 10,000 times!" My response-"We all have fallen off of a bike! I've fallen and still have a rock in my head!" Of course Harrison and the girls wanted to feel it and were loaded with questions. Harrison asked, "Why didn't you go to the er?" I replied, "well, funny story; Pop (Joe Keppler) told me I would be fine and to get back on my bike!" I had blood all over and Great Gran wasn't going to have that, but over time my head healed with a rock inside. Harrison replied, "what?!?, why didn't Pop give you a bandaid? A hug?" Lesson Time....My response- Buddy, sometimes people don't respond the way you think they should. Mommy is one tough cookie because of Pop! We need all kinds of people in our lives! We need the "You got this-person," "You didn't do that right-person," "I love you no matter what-person." We need even that difficult person that you don't understand! Harrison replied-"Well, I like the band-aid person!" I laughed! We grow from one another. Growing pains hurt at times, but never worth giving up on. Say a prayer tonight for your worst critic and thank God for them! ❤️
