2018 is coming to an end, and many reflections, praises, and blessings come to mind.  Change has been a key word for 2018. We have continued to grasp on God’s grace and timing.

Ryan spent 6 months working for Illinois Department of Transportation, and the other 6 months doing side jobs for family and friends. We continue to pray for a full-time position opportunity through IDOT.  Ryan and I have also been praying about reopening our pumpkin farm. Through God’s guidance, we will reopen in 2019.

Harrison is rocking 2nd grade and just turned 8 years old last week! He loves baseball and basketball and played both this year!  He hit his first homerun this year and still talking about it. He is such a great kid!  He does well in school and enjoys talking in class.

Maebry is in 1st grade and 6 years old J She lost her first tooth this year, as well as learned to swim and jumped off the diving board alone. She is a cheerleading machine! She had a big year of firsts, and her loving spirit, humor, and tenderness are changing lives around her.

Madison is in enjoying Pre-K and is 4 years old.  She has started tumbling and loves it! She is a jumping and running monkey.  Her appointments in November went well, and we will return to St. Louis for more labs after the holiday.

I am a school counselor in the South Central School District and love it! I embrace Pre-K through 8th grade children every single day and love my staff. I have four classes left at Eastern Illinois University and will graduate in May with both my clinical and school licensures.

We lost our Great-Gran (Joan Keppler) this summer and not a day goes by that we don’t think of and miss her. We were blessed with many memories over the years, and I am living out her words: “Honey, when I am gone, you will still have the memories.” One of the greatest lessons we have learned this year is, “Love and make memories today!”

We often put off the ones we love. Because we know God can call us home at any point, it is important to embrace the day we have been given. We send love and prayers as you reflect on 2018 and prepare your hearts for God’s guidance in 2019.

                    Merry Christmas!

Some families are taking Christmas family photos seriously. They are even gearing up for that as early as October! If you weren't happy with the photos that came up, then there is nothing you can do but wait for another photoshoot. Perhaps, there was a lack of preparation on your side. You thought that everything would turn out good because you exerted effort already. But that's not the result that arrived and you are quite frustrated. I understand the feeling but don't feel down! There's always a next time in everything!
