I put the glasses on Madison and she kept her head down.... then in a quiet voice she looked up at me and said, "You ike em' mom?" I replied with a smile on my face, "I love them!" Madison then smiled and 24 hours later still has them on and even wore them to bed last night. One big thing I have embraced the last two years is our actions and reactions affect others. Our kids' responses to situations, tragedies, and life are typically a mirror reflection of ours. Our kids look to use when they don't know how to respond to life. Yesterday, wasn't the first time Madison has been unsure about something, but it was the first time she could verbally express what she was thinking. Those words "You ike em' mom?" went straight to my heart. Until yesterday she could only express a certain face when unsure... during our journey (18 months) I have focused on being positive. No matter my emotions I smiled and spoke words of love. Yes, I failed at times, but Madison's response most of the time was based on my reactions. Long hosiptal stays, scans, tests, exams, new people, new places, medicines,.... the list goes on and on.... Our choice to embrace the last 18 months shows on Madison's face. How is Madison doing? We still have four therapist in our home every week. We love them and they have become part of our family. Our visits to STL depend on Madison. We still go often- once a week or every other. We have a big day in STL on Thursday. Madison will be seeing urology, nephrology, oncology, a pediatric dentist, and ophthalmology. The rest of us will be getting blood drawn and meeting with genetics. She looks wonderful! Her immune system is still weak and seems to be getting every virus she comes into contact with. Our outings with her are limited and will continue that way till she is stronger. We had to postpone vaccines due to this weakness. Please be in prayer for God's will to be done, a smooth day, and for God to use us. How is the Lash Crew?? We are enjoying one another! We decorated our tree last night so our home is officially ready for Christmas❤️ Mae and Madison love their baby dolls and helping around the house❤️ Harrison loves school and don't tell him, but I would be fine with him only going two days a week❤️. Ryan has been doing side jobs in the evenings and I've been doing nothing, but watching television (a little mom humor- way more funny then the long list😂)
December is in full swing, but don't get to busy you miss the needs right in front of you ❤️
