A fun filled day outside! Finally it's starting to look, feel, and smell like Spring!
I didn't capture all the pictures I wanted because leaving my phone behind was needed. Pop, Harrison, and I went mushroom hunting... We only found two, but being in the woods with the cool breeze was good for my soul! I've not been on our trails in over a year! I had forgotten how much I needed the peace of the country! Tomorrow will be the one year mark from when we first took Madison to Cardinal Glennon. I will never forget that day! Suppose to be quick physicals for Harrison and Mae then a trip to the park. Our lives have forever been changed! Thankful for God's divine intervention! Tomorrow will be a difficult day for our dear Hess Family! The one year mark from losing Sierra and Loretta's father. We will be making a trip to Mt. Vernon to spend the day with the Hess family. We will be celebrating because Meadow will be baptized! We are honored to be apart of this special occasion. Our life on earth is temporary, but our eternity in heaven is forever. As you tuck your children in bed tonight please pray for all those that have lost a child or children. Only God can give the peace and comfort they need every single day.

We won't have any results on Ryan's knee or Harrison and Mae's biopsies till Monday... Patience! We going to enjoy our weekend and let Monday's news come when Monday arrives. Harrison will be playing t-ball this summer and he has been practicing for months! I love hearing all the laughs in the backyard! A special card came in the mail yesterday! An anonymous blessing! Thank you for being God's hands and feet! Double-tap to edit.
I can't thank God enough for blessing us with three amazing children. Today was Harrison and Mae's third bone marrow aspirate and biopsy. They both did so well! Maebry was using the restroom right before the procedure and looked up at me and asked, "Mommy, how many more times do we have to do this?" The kids always ask questions and we are always honest with them. For some reason her heartfelt question broke my heart. I obviously replied, "I don't know Mae, but I do know your very strong!"
I thank God every day that although we don't know the genetic mutation or how to prevent it we can detect the disease before it becomes high risk AML! We don't have any results today, but will next week. Please continue to pray that the disease isn't present. Today overall was a wonderful day! Nurse Karen came in on her day off, the kids were spoiled by "Baskets of Hope," we were able to see almost all of our friends, and most of all we enjoyed the day creating memories with Nene and Papa! God continues to bless us and unveil his masterpieces! Highlights of our Day: Madison loved seeing Harrison have tubes too! Ms.Karen let Mae pull her own iv out and she was in heaven (she will be in the medical field)! Harrison wouldn't let Mae pull his out!😂 Harrison and Mae played doctor on Papa while we waited for Madison to finish IVIG! Maebry got a new dress!❤️ Tomorrow is Harrison and Mae's bone marrow biopsies. They get these biopsies every 6 months to check to see if they have developed Monosomy 7. They each had blood work done on Monday and their counts looked great! Praying for smooth morning and no monosomy 7! Several have asked how long will we be doing this and the answer is we don't know! Little Nugget loves her cinnamon toast crunch! Through the day she goes to the pantry to grab a handful of her favorite food! Thankfully, she now rarely drops her snack and steps on it! She is eating and I'm not cleaning up behind her (win/win)! The "Jesus is Calling" kid version has been our daily read! April's focus is "Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take-Proverbs 3:6" The theme of the month couldn't be more fitting or appropriate!
Several emotions are filling the Lash home tonight.... In addition, to the kids having a big day tomorrow Ryan hurt his knee on Sunday. He went to the doctor yesterday and we will get the MRI results on Monday. It seems to be his meniscus and the pain has kept him from working this week. Selfishly, I'm ready for the mountains to turn into plains! I know God has a plan and I trust that plan! Please pray that Ryan's injury heals quickly and he gets a good report on Monday (no surgery needed report). I felt led to attach the kid's devotion for tonight...Have a wonderful and blessed evening! Focus on God and his Plan! Chip Ingram had a wonderful series called, "Transformed" that ended today. One of the many thought provoking ideas he had was making a "To Be" list instead of a "To do" list. Being intentional about "being" the person God has called us to "be!" Here is the link! http://subspla.sh/e8ae021 Here is my list: To be a strong woman of faith To be a submissive wife To be a supportive mom To be a listening friend To be a healthy mom Now how will my time be built around this "to be list?" To be a strong woman of faith: spend 30+ minutes in my war room each day. To be a loving and submissive wife: spend at least 30 minutes in conversation with only Ryan each day. To be a supportive mom: "be there" To be a listening friend: intentionally devote one hour each week to reach out to a friend To be a healthy mom: devote 30 minutes in the morning to exercise I once was great at completing all of my "to do" list, but as we all know the list is endless and unintentional in God's call for our life. So.... Homework make your "to be" list and be intentional about working on being who God has called you to be! Double-tap to edit.
